For Cosmetic Products (perfume, shampoo, make-up, skin care products etc.) that you will import or produce, you need to apply to the Turkish Ministry of Health and get "Acceptance Certificate of Cosmetic Declaration”.   For imported cosmetics products, you should take this document before initiating import processes and bringing your products to the customs. In case you start processes for this certificate after your products arrive to the customs, the products will have to wait in the customs warehouse and thus you will have to pay high storage costs.

In case it is determined during the audits conducted by the Ministry of Health that the products are launched to the market without Cosmetic Declaration or with misleading - false statements, the products will be pulled from the market and high administrative fines will be charged.
