The import of the majority of industrial goods is subject to a Warranty Certificate. The companies that don't take this Warranty Certificate from the Turkish Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology by establishing the required service network cannot import many of these products such as computer products, electric/electronic house appliances, communication devices and vehicles. The Turkish Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology first requests the required service network to be established by determining the amount and quality of service places required for each product, and then approves these places with a Post-Sale Service Adequacy Certificate. After establishing the service network, Warranty Certificate is approved and import activity is allowed. Some of the industrial goods are obliged to be sold with a Warranty Certificate to the consumer even though their import is free.
